Bunny girl figures continue to be an area of interest in my recent collection: it’s literally a deep rabbit hole I’ve gotten myself over these last few years.
During my Japan trip last year, notably when I was out and about within the Hakone area, I ended up browsing through native’s catalogue of figures while waiting for lunch. One figure I found myself staring at for quite some time was a rendition of Bonnie-sensei’s original character, Hitoyo-chan, in a bunny suit. She was sculpted by Yadokari-sensei.
In particular, I really liked the boots and garter straps from the prototype photos. Her shy facial expression topped it off and I decided to pre-order her.
Fast forward to the end of May this year: she was finally released after a few rounds of delays. The wait was definitely worth it. Her box was huge. She comes with two sets of busts. As expected, the bust attached to the main figure when I opened the box was the bare bust with her nipples exposed, while the one with the bunny suit covering things up was presented in the box. The lower half of her bunny suit is removable as well. Given I pre-ordered the figure based on the bunny suit sculpting itself, I opted to swap her clothed bust part back on. As expected of BINDing figures, the fishnets are indeed real fabric.
The other thing I like about this figure is the fact that Hitoyo-chan’s pose is done in a way such that no additional supports are required to keep her upright, which would have detracted from showcasing her appeal. Adding faux fur underneath does make that task slightly more difficult, but after finding the right position, she balances fine.
Anyways, here she is:
There’s quite a few things I like to highlight about Hitoyo-chan, so I’ll start from the top. Given that’s we’re dealing with a bunny figure, Hitoyo-chan has a nice pair of black bunny ears with dark red inners. She is one the first bunny girl figures in my collection that feature short hair, which was a nice change of pace. Her eyes look into the distance with a nice soft expression. Near her left ear, Hitoyo wears a little silver hair clip with a heart on it.
As we continue down towards her neck area, we’ll notice that hearts are definitely a motif of this figure. The upper part of this bunny suit doesn’t cover anything at all: it appears like a harness around her neck and exposed back. At the heart of her chest features a little red bow with a dark blue heart joining the collar and back harness. I think that really emphasizes her extremely large bust immediately below, but also as a clean way to hide the seam line as this part is detachable to hide the bare bust part. From the back, the part below the strap and above the rest of her body suit is detachable into three pieces: her head and arms, her interchangable busts (bare and clothed), and the lower body.
Moving down, we’ll notice her enormous bust. The bunny suit bust covers are a nice glossy black with sleek golden trim, connected once again by a heart shaped clip bam-smack in the middle! Personally, I would’ve preferred a quicker method to go between her cast-off look and her clothed look by utilizing magnets like FREEing does with some of their Senran Kagura bunnies, but since the plastic seams aren’t noticeable, I give this passing mark.
As her breasts hang out, below is the rest of the her black bunny suit. One unique thing about this bunny suit that’s different than other FREEing and BINDing ones in my collection is the fact that the tummy area is also fishnet material. There was no shortcuts in the sculpting underneath, as the shape of her belly button is clearly visible from certain angles! The upper part of this bunny suit also has some gold highlights with a nice lighter shade of gray that contrasts the rest of the suit. Once again, this also hides the seam lines where the bust piece attaches.
Her sleeves are cuffed at her forearms with a nice red bow, as well as by her wrists . Most of her sleeve is white and baggy. I really like the sculpting done here, as different lighting angles give it some texture and substance. The gold painting is clean; I do hope that over time, the gold doesn’t bleed around (I’ve read anecdotes that this sometimes can happen in other figures).
As we move to the lower half of her body, we’ll notice that her butt and thighs are huuuuuuuge! Definitely reminds me of leg days as they’re super thicc. There’s really only the one piece of plastic cloth covering her secret spot, which, like classic BINDing figures, can be cast off. Given the angle of her right leg, I find the sculpting between her right butt and right thigh to be pretty damn nice the back side.
Similar to Tsunako’s Eureka figure, I also like her thigh highs attached with garter belts accessorized with hearts. Her thigh highs, like most FREEing and BINDing figures, feature real fabric fishnets, which I have come to appreciate as it adds some nice texture from all viewing angles. If there was one thing I wished could be improved, it would the thigh high tension from the “fabric” that squeezes her thighs inwards a bit more. Then again, that’s my personal preference showing a bit 🙂
Finally, we get a glimpse of her boots. Another thing that differentiates her from some of the other bunnies I have are the fact that her feet are slightly exposed. Given that she’s wearing fishnet tights, they’re also present on her boots. The sculpting on around the ankles, especially as seen on the red parts of her boots, are really nice. The bottom of her boots are basic but present a neutral look.
Overall, Hitoyo-chan is a great addition to my collection. I definitely can’t display her in my home office due to her NSFW nature, but in my living room, she sits on top of some pink faux fur, watching over my little coffee and hot water station. I think the only thing that differs between this figure and the original illustration is the garter belt on the back side, which doesn’t exist in her figure form. I can only speculate that it was intentional as to not detract from her cast off look. Personally, I don’t mind; displaying her in the cast off form is quite a clean look. All things said, I think Yadokari-sensei nailed the figure rendition of Bonnie-sensei’s original character. QC-wise, I didn’t find anything blatantly wrong with the figure: she’s stunning in 1/4 scale form from all angles!
Anyways, that’s all I had this time around. Hoping to do another figure post again soon in the midst of some other things going on in life.
Until next time!
