It’s been quite a while since I last did a blog post. My last post was on Anime Evolution: Akimatsuri 2012.
Two weeks ago, I went to Anime Evolution 2013, which was held at the University of British Columbia. I got to listen to some interesting panels, including one with Dante Basco, the voice actor of Zukko in Avatar: The Last Airbender, which was AWESOME. I also watched some awesome AMVs, including one called Skittles, which was done quite well. For my future self, search it up on YouTube if it’s not on the external hard drive anymore. There were lots of fabulous cosplays too. They can be found on facebook. And of course, I bought stuff there too! Adding to my collection of figures (I now have six in total. I got two more during my trip to Hong Kong and Taiwan during the Spring), I got a Shirai Kuroko (白井黒子) figure. It was a bit on the expensive side, but oh well, it was worth it. I also got two League of Legends prints – one of Ahri, and one of Ashe – in the Artist Alley. They were really well done. As well, I also got a print of the 2013 mascot character, AE-chan. Apparently, I was the first person to buy it after three days, and it was going towards charity. That felt good, oh, and as an added bonus, I got the artist, Miooo, to sign it for me too :D. Nothing beats the artist personally signing their work and giving it to you. Too bad I didn’t get a photo with her. Overall, it was lots of fun, and I spent lots of money. Fun times are sure fun!
For the past two weeks, I haven’t been really doing much. I’m volunteering every Thursday at the SHARE’d Thrift Store, and I have my IB CAS reflections to write weekly. Oh and on top of that, I still have to finish my Extended Essay by the start of school in September. I really miss my summer last year.
Oh ending off on a good note, I’m living in the basement right now, because the carpets upstairs are being replaced with laminate floors, so that’s good! Now I don’t need to worry about my allergies.
Well, I’ll be blogging more regularly now (yeah I’ve said that a lot, haven’t I?).
