Yesterday was Remembrance Day in Canada (or Veterans Day in the USA). All Canadians honoured those who fought hard in the war to give us freedom here, including those who died and those who are still here among us. If it wasn’t for these people, the world would have been different today.
Recently, I was “googling” for Windows 7 Themes for Windows Vista. I encountered a little program called “ViGlance”. It makes your taskbar look very similar to Windows 7 taskbar, to the extent that it can pin icons to the taskbar. It does not, however, change the look of the system tray icons. As you see below, this little application makes the icons bigger, icons can be pinned to the taskbar, grouped windows look like those of Windows 7, and the Windows 7 Orb will glow when your cursor hovers over it. I found this on YouTube a couple of days ago. This medley of Michael Jackson’s songs are performed by one singer and one beat boxer. Pretty epic if you ask me…
Days really go by that fast. Already, November is here, and in less than 2 weeks, we (in Canada) must remember those who helped made the world peaceful for us. Their sacrifices have brought us this great world we now have here. To students like us, Remembrance Day serves not only as a day off, but a day to honour those who fought in the wars to bring peace to the world.
